ISO/IEC 24730-2 Real Time Locating Systems
The ISO/IEC 24730-2 real time locating system offers unprecedented wireless location and communications solutions for managing end-to-end supply chain asset tracking visibility. This real time asset location tracking system is the only single wireless, industry standards-based IEEE local area network solution for enterprises to cost-effectively and rapidly deploy multiple applications for real-time location, telemetry, messaging and 8021.11b. The result is constant, on-demand visibility and tracking information about valuable assets in the supply chain, their physical location, and status.
Zebra Enterprise Solutions has helped customers, including APL, Ford Motor Company, NYK Logistics, the US Army, and BMW quickly locate tracked assets by using real-time location tracking and status information to achieve increased asset visibility and heightened levels of efficiency.

Zebra Enterprise Solutions offers a wide range of real time asset location tracking systems that can be "application matched" from high resolution X-Y-Z coordinate positioning and tracking to basic presence detection. The complete selection of real time location system (RTLS) asset tracking tag offerings, range from battery-powered active RFID WhereTag asset tags, to WhereCall button tags. These real time asset tracking tags enable organizations to access accurate, real-time information on the location and status of their assets.
WhereTag IV
Our WhereTag IV tags is the first multimode real time location system (RTLS) asset tracking tag that combines the open standard of ISO/IEC 24730-2 with IEEE 802.11 Wi-Fi for a complete asset tracking visibility system. WhereTag IV tags are fully sealed and built to handle tough indoor and outdoor environments based on your application's requirements to drive effective and accurate real-time asset tracking visibility. WhereTag III TL/TLB
Zebra Enterprise Solutions has two versions of a thin line active RFID asset tracking tags. The WhereTag III TL/TLB asset tracking tags can be attached to assets of many kinds in office and other indoor environments. The WhereTag III TL/TLB asset tracking tags are compliant to ISO/IEC 24730-2. To learn more, download the WhereTag III TL/TLB datasheet, click here.
WhereTag III ST HO
Zebra Enterprise Solutions has a Serial Telemetry version of the WhereTag III asset tracking tag available for specific applications. WhereTag III ST HO is designed to transmit serial messages over the ISO/IEC 24730-2 air interface. This asset tracking tag incorporates a serial input that is configurable to be compatible with RS-232-c and RS-422/485 interfaces. Telemetry data can be input into the WhereTag III ST HO and then forwarded across to the real time location system (RTLS) wireless infrastructure. Zebra Enterprise Solutions proximity communication exciter products are used to in real time location system (RTLS) solutions to indicate proximity to a known area or critical threshold by triggering WhereTag IV asset tags to transmit an alternate "blink" pattern. When a WhereTag IV asset tag passes though the WherePort exciter magnetic field, the asset tracking tag can initiate a pre-programmed and typically a faster blink rate to allow more location points as the tagged asset passes through a critical threshold, such as a shipping/receiving dock door or from one zone to another. Zebra Enterprise Solutions offers a couple of proximity communication devices developed to meet your unique indoor and outdoor application requirements.
WherePort III
Designed for indoor and outdoor applications, the WherePort III proximity communication exciter is sealed against dust and water, and is equipped with an RS-232c interface that allows easy programming, and firmware upgrades. To learn more, download the WherePort III datasheet, click here.
WherePort III HD
The heavy-duty version of WherePort III, WherePort III HD proximity communication exciter is used primarily for outdoor mobile installations where it may be exposed to very harsh environments. To learn more, download the WherePort III HD datasheet, click here.
WherePort IV
Zebra Enterprise Solutions offers an indoor Ethernet enabled WherePort IV proximity communication exciter. The WherePort IV proximity communication exciter is used to indicate proximity by triggering a WhereTag IV asset tag to transmit a series of 24730-2 or Wi-Fi CCX blinks containing the unique ID associated with the WherePort IV.
